I have been spending the week end by finishing all the photoetch stuff for the Masséna, guess to which parts of the boat those pieces go?
6 frets in all  for today, here's the result of one!

  in order for the joints between the plates to gbe "perfect" -well I mean, realistcally torn apart, I used some magic Sculpin places to perfect those joints.

  So in the end I applied some green stuff on the most lousy joints -I may also apply some diluted tamiya mastic in the worse areas. But yet it works as you might see from the picture.

  So here i am while fixing the plates. Thirteen places in all, not a klot but still quite a few work, and then the assembling was pretty lousy in places. thanks heaven that I only build destroyed models!

So here are the plates, they are pretty thin actually as the etchant wiped out a lot of material so that it creates a 3d kind of effect. Some are already taken out by the fret: actually they fell of when i handled the fret!

  The weather is so bad these days that my diorama progresses in strides.
First here is the file I used to create the phhotoetch for all the various steel supports that are located at the back of the hull.

For those who don't know Domi's work, he is for me the best Spanish modeler alive in this sense he has got the greatest of ideas.

I don't know how I can say that, but his dioramas are just "fresh", very original, you can spot one of those modelers who models for all the good reasons.
