What are those bizare things? these are some feet! these are to press in the wet sand where the kid will be standing!

Finally I made some bricks (the boiler was actually put on very light bricks inside the boat) out of plaster (molded on a roughly made plasticard master).
And then I proceeded to scratch out the ropes and plsater so that i could have this really leprous look :)

... Then I sculpted a tool of flat platsicard of the right dimension so that I could apply the plaster evenly.

Back to the boiler for the time being -thanks to Mr Pete Vill, i now know that what i took for an empty space between the boiler itself and the steel plates aboves was in fact covered with ropes and then with plaster, so that it could do some sort of isolation layer and therefore keeping the energy inside the boiler so there it goes: first unglue the steel plates (*sigh*, the lenghths you have to go to be accurate.. ;)

Pebeo's outliner (Cernes relief)

It dries just like regular glossy Acrylic gel that you can find in art shops or Valejo's Water Effect (which is exactly the same stuff)

Flex Pad on horse sculpting

The reason I use those flex-pad instead of other solutions is seen here: I have been owning the same since 4 years and even though mine are in bad shape they still work alright. I love the "blade tip" which allows to sand in the crevices
