 Though the idea was not originally that one, I ended up hooking it up to that poem from American Randall Jarell called
"The Death of the Ball Turret Gunner"


It reads like that


"From my mother's sleep I fell into the State,
And I hunched in its belly till my wet fur froze.
Six miles from earth, loosed from its dream of life,
I woke to black flak and the nightmare fighters.
When I died they washed me out of the turret with a hose."


So this is indeed a 1/35 scratchbuilt B-17 Ball Turret that you can see here -see the WIP here
