December 22 2009 | Filling the holes with magic Sculp

Please notice I also cut some rectangular shapes on this side of the hull

let's fill the stuff with Magic Sculp, a wet modeling knife was certainly very useful for that job. of course I had to take a lot of care of not pressing too much the MS because I would have tear the tubing apart.

December 26 2009 | The hull after sanding

I had to sand thoroughly at least 3 times with extra layers of Tamiya mastic so that no imperfection would be visible. So that's a handy trick but phew.. lots of work afterwards to get something okay.

December 26 2009 | Green stuff for the roof

So first having all the stuff glued or fixed together with glue and Green Stuff -its stickiness is very convenient to fix small or difficult stuff like the photoetch windscreen for instance

December 26 2009 | The cabin, after loads of sanding

So here's what my cabin looks like after layers of Magic Sculp and another few layers of Tamiya mastic. As you may notice the right side of the windscreen is still destroyed.

December 29 2009 | The railings

Now one important part of this build is the railings that you can find on each side of the whaleback -you also have some shorter ones on the cabin: on this picture you can see both the elements I used (brass sheet and small circles of photoetched brass left from a previous session) and some detailing job done on the hull itself.
So first some holes in the plastic
