Sorry for the late in posting this. lots of job to do in the daytime, the sea presented here (well the master) was done during 2 evenings.so here's the story.
there is no way i can reproduce a half transparent sea shore with another product than polyester resin
Then there is no way that i can produce some realistic waves just by sculpting them for the 10 minutes or so the resin will take to set
I then have to make a mold...

When the plaster is set, i then proceeded to sculpt the waves with Magic Sculp on the top of the plaster. then to reproduce "accurately" (well, we'll see the result eh..) the movement of the water;, i used some thick acrylic gel above it and shaped it with a brush.Now it's time to make the mold in latex!

Now it's time to do the ground cover..So now when i have the time I will certainly prepare this "the 10 capital sins of diorama making" bit; buf for the moment here is the theory:
